COVID-19 policy

We’re working hard to accommodate the continued demand for valuations and viewings. Government guidance advises valuations, viewings and moves are still permitted as long as strict ‘social distancing’ measures are in place.

Physical valuations are still permitted inline with current government and industry guidelines and we will do all we can to put vendors at ease.

To avoid unnecessary visits to people’s homes, and possible mixing, we are also able to facilitate virtual valuations via video calls.

Vendors are invited to show us round their house, from which we can give an accurate valuation of their home which can be followed up with a virtual appraisal.

While physical viewings are still allowed, the government advice is that they should only be carried out when a buyer is seriously considering a property and is proceedable.

In the first instance, we are happy to offer a virtual or video viewing to minimise the public health risk.

We politely ask all our clients to clean prior to a visit and again afterwards and remain outside the property whilst an appointment takes place. Our accompanied viewers are well settled into the habit of wearing gloves and masks and will continue to do so. All applicants are also asked to wear masks and restrict numbers to two people. Where it is not possible to practise social distancing: the accompanied viewer will remain outside the property. All lights will be on and doors open so we respectfully ask that viewers refrain from touching anything in the property.

Our Micklegate office remains open by appointment.
