We want to update you on our position regarding COVID – 19. The health and safety of our employees and customers is our first priority and we are continuing to follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England carefully. Following the latest advice, our offices are currently closed.
However, we are still very much open for business with our team working remotely and using digital technology to continue to provide a high-quality service to our customers.
House sales in progress
House sales that were in progress before Covid-19 restrictions were put in place are still able to proceed - there is no need to pull out of transactions as long as all parties are following guidance to stay at home and away from others. Solicitors, banks, and removal companies are still able to operate within the current guidelines.
If the property you are moving into is vacant, you can continue as long as the guidance surrounding home removals is followed. If the property is occupied, it is advised to agree mutually convenient moving dates for a time when the social isolation measures have been lifted.
Renting a new property
If you are interested in renting a property with us, please do get in touch. We may be able to set up a new tenancy for you remotely.
Properties on the market - viewings
For properties that are currently on the market, we are compiling video tours with the help of the homeowners. If you are interested in a property, please contact us and we will arrange a ‘virtual viewing’ if possible.
Getting your property on the market to sell or rent
If you are thinking of selling or letting your property during this period, we are still able to help get it on the market.
Our Director, Ben Hudson has more than 30 years’ experience of valuing homes in York and the surrounding areas. Having visited many properties on most of York’s streets he is able to provide accurate ‘desktop’ valuations without having to step inside.
