WORK STARTS ON HEWORTH EDGE .
37 NEW ECO HOMES WORK has started on a major new homes development that will include a wide selection of high quality houses and apartments, as well as a brand new social club, at Heworth which is less than two miles from York city centre.
The development, known as Heworth Edge, will consist of 37, two and three bedroom homes and nine apartments.
In addition Burnholme Social Club is being demolished and a modern new club is being built to replace it.
Prices at Heworth Edge, which is being marketed by leading York based estate agents Hudson Moody, will start at £150,000 and the first homes will be released for sale later this year.
Local construction company Lindum, based in York, has been appointed to carry out the building work which will complete in early 2015.
